Restoring the Grand Old Dame ...

The Century Old Canadian National Railway Station located to the west of Main St in downtown Minnedosa is undergoing a renovation and sprucing up of sorts ... there are new cedar shakes on the roof, the fir beams are being reinforced where necessary, and new facia boards and trim are being installed, and a coat of paint is being but on as well.

The Minnedosa Heritage Inc Committee (formerly known as Save Our Station) have been working busily over the last couple of weeks to begin the restoration of the Crown Jewel of Minnedosa's Heritage buildings ...

Condemned by many as unusable and unsalvageble, the old girl has proven EVERYONE wrong, and now she is graciously experiencing the work on her eaves, her roof and her dormers ... Next step will be the complete restoration of the interior back to her 1940 appearance ...

Good work boys !!! You're making us all very proud !!!
