This morning's news out of Winnipeg has carried the news that Two Firefighters were killed and
three others were seriously injured
battling a house fire last night in St Boniface.
Having witnessed the bravery of our local volunteer firefighters
last year when our Church burned to the ground,
I can not help, but stop and honour the fallen, and their comrades.
They are, like fallen Police Officers,
HEROES IN LIFE, NOT DEATH.
They paid the ultimate sacrifice,
and our thoughts and prayers are with their families,
and with the injured as they recover in hospital and at home.
